Contact Us – Want To Start Beekeeping?”
Whether you are a master beekeeper, an experienced beekeeper, a new beekeeper or thinking about starting a backyard beehive, Berks and Schuylkill Beekeeper’s Association can help. We can share our experiences to help you on the path of starting your own beekeeping experience. Thriving beehives exist in community gardens, backyards and on rooftops throughout large cities. Beekeeping has changed over the years, much remains the same as it has been done for years but we can help to keep up with our latest news and methods.
Berks and Schuylkill Beekeeper’s Association works to encourage and promote country and urban beekeeping through fellowship and education. Our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of honeybees to our environment. The association also has their own organization beehive, in Leesport, PA, at the Berk Agricultural Center. We provide care and upkeep for the hive and do training at our beekeeping meetings. This is great for presentations and training classes for those trying to learn about taking care of their own hive and information on how to get started with beekeeping.
